🗨️Farzeen Mahmood: These are my endless summer hydrangeas in their original pots (3 gallon) I bought this year in spring! Although they’re blooming so good, the stems are all dropping to the ground even those that have new buds coming in!

So the only thing I did to them apart of daily watering and morning sun, I feed them with bloombooster liquid solution 2 weeks ago, and since then the blooms are crazy but the stems are very weak! Please tell me what to do? Should I cut the drooping stems?

  1. Hello Farzeen,

There is no need to cut the stems. The best thing you can do is to plant your hydrangea from the pot into the ground. This way the plant will have enough space for the root system.

Avoid fertilizing too often as this leads to vigorous flowering. At the same time, the stems do not have time to mature and lean towards the ground.

Next year, the stems will mature and be able to support the weight of the flower heads. You can also use a cage to keep the hydrangea in shape.
